About Us

We are Farhaan and Khairunnisa Khan, from South Africa.
We’d always loved the road. Years of local trips around and beyond South Africa slowly grew into something bigger, a dream of making travel our life and the world our playground. For a long time, that dream lived in conversations, savings, and a growing list of places we wanted to see.
Then in 2013, by the grace of God, it became real.
#Joburg2Jerusalem and beyond
After a year and a half of planning, we quit our jobs. On 1 March 2015, we set off on an epic journey
We were blessed to visit the three Harams and spend Ramadan 2015 in Al-Quds. We drove as far as the Pakistan-China border. We prayed Jumu’ah with thousands of Palestinians at Masjid Al-Aqsa, stood in awe at the Ngorongoro Crater, felt small before Kenya’s Great Rift Valley, and crossed the Red Sea by ferry. We wild-camped among the kaluts of Dasht-e-Lut in Iran, sat out two days of rain trapped in our car in Turkey, slept beneath the Caucasus Mountains in Georgia, drove above the clouds in Armenia, and saw snow for the first time in Azad Kashmir.
We left a piece of ourselves in every place we visited.

We arrived back in South Africa on 16 May 2016, after 14 months on the road. But our hearts never really came all the way home, and the dream has only grown bigger since.
Today, Dubai is our home, but the travels continue. We still overland, in the UAE and the region, we also do city breaks and slow travels. So read along and follow our journey, get some great ideas for your next travel and just be inspired!
